ADDRESSING THE CRITICAL NEED FOR NEW CHURCH LEADERS.
Speaker: Rev Dr Tim Patrick
On Thursday 8 September, from 9–11am, Bible College SA will be holding a special event for pastors and all other ministry workers. ‘Sheep without Shepherds and a Harvest without Labourers’ will address the critical need for more gospel workers across our city and state in the years and decades ahead.
We will consider some hard data, think about what the Bible says on this issue, start exploring some practical solutions, and of course we will pray. In addition, we will also launch what we hope will become an annual half-day gathering dedicated to this topic, with the first to be held after Easter next year.
It would be great if you were able to mark this event into your diary as a real priority. We completely understand that there are always many other good, important, and even urgent things to do. But it is also true that our generation of ministry workers must not fail to give our time to engaging with this largest of needs.
Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and curing every disease and every sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.’ Matthew 9:35–38
Looking forward to seeing you there.
